Lab 1 Reflection


        For this lab what I did was with the camera given to me I went on a hike around my neighborhood and find a good spot to take pictures.  Once i found a great spot, I stood still and took 30 different pictures with different angles and areas around me. After the pictures taken, we input the pictures to the computer and opened up photoshop to start working on them.  We looked through all the pictures and chose the 5 best ones that were taken as a close up, eye level, low level, high level and landscape. With these 5 pictures we set them up in photoshop in a order and describe what they were. The way we did this was by using different layers for each photo and creating text layers under them so they can visualized and so we can know what picture it was. To create effects on the text i went to blending options on each text layer and chose a colorful effect so that the letters can pop out and i also added drop shadows to give the text more depth. The tools we used in this lab can be used by a web designer because they need to know how to align each picture and how to make sure the layers aren't overlapping, so that each picture comes out the way it should. Also creating effects and using the special tools it can be used to create unique websites and used to edit picture to make them more cleaner.

CW What Does a CTE Diploma Means To Me?

           The difference between a Regents and a Advanced Regents diploma is the minimum requirement each of them have. For a regular regents diploma you only need 2 credits in any other language other than English, but in the advanced you need 6 credits which is 3 years of a different language. Also you will need to take a test for Spanish or a different language and pass it with a 65 in order to obtain the Advanced Regents Diploma. Having a CTE endorsement in either one will allow you to graduate with a CTE diploma and this will allow you to have experience and be able to find a job as soon as you graduate. Project 6 Reflection Journal

During project 6 we had to create and demonstrate our skills as web designers, by brainstorming and collaborating to create a yearbook. The time for the project there was 4 people per group and each one had a unique role. My role in my group was the designer. I chose this role because it was the hardest and allowed me to practice even more with my illustrator, Photoshop and In design skills. Our topic for the yearbook was kids in the city or city life, which Is why I chose a 7 train because most kids take the 7 train to come and go to school. Another reason why I put the Black Hawk over the train is because that was the symbol of our school.
