Lab 11 "Editing Tools" Part 2

Image
During lab 11 we had another set of photos that we had to use different tools on them and make each picture different. We were only allowed to use these tools in order to master them. The tools were color replacement, patch tool, spot heal tool, clone stamp, content aware, and healing brush. These tools were new to me because I have never heard of it. In picture A we need to clone bricks to make other bricks look better, had to use the color replacement tool to change the color of the hat and using content aware we cleared up spots. In picture B we used the spot healing brush to get rid of the sprinkler and using the clone tool we fixed the rip in the bottom left. In pic C we used the healing brush we cleared the name DJ, then using the patch tool to clear the holes in the rocks to make them look new. Lastly in Pic D we used the healing brush to clear the wrinkles on the forehead and used the patch tool to clear more around the face. These tools are very useful to a web designer beca...

Lab 10 Editing Tools Part 1

Image
In lab 10 we had 5 pictures that we had to edit using different tools web designers use in order to master them, and make use of them to their full potential. In the first picture, it was the family guy crew and the instructions told us to change the colors and remove the background using specific tools. These tools were the magic eraser tool which allowed to remove the background of the picture, and we then used the paint bucket tool to fill in the colors of the shirts and logo. In the second picture we had to blur the front two guys then blur the people in the back. In order to do this we used the blur tool and i selected it to make sure i get it all without mistakes. The third picture was a family and we had to use the dodge and the burn tool to either darken or highlight different areas of the picture. The fourth picture we used the sponge tool to the desaturate the picture and make it look black and white. The last picture we highlighted the background and changed the color of i...

Lab 9 Blending Options for Layer Styles

Image
In lab 9 which was a very simple lab we had to write our name 6 times and use different types of blending options to it and it would add different effects. My favorite effect out of all the blending options was the shadow it created because it makes the words pop out and look really good. Web designers would 100% use this tool every time they write something even if its a little bit, because it just add that extra effect that you need to your text that makes it look amazing or just better than before. For each of my name i used different color overlays, shadows, glows, outer glows, and color blending which allowed many colors come and make the text like a rainbow if you chose the rainbow color. This lab was fairly easy and simple but the most useful one because making text look good is also whats going to attract your reader or the audience your are looking for.

Lab 8 Turkey Card

Image
In  lab 8 we created a turkey card for thanksgiving which my mom loved. In order to create this card we first entered the turkey into Photoshop. After this we had to select the turkey using quick selection and select inverse. Then after this we had to create a mask layer on the turkey background in order to make the turkey background look blurred out and the turkey popping out. After we went into choose filter and chose blur we then had to move the picture to the bottom of the paper so that once we fold it the white background is in the back and the turkey is in the front. We then added our names to it and printed it out. This lab was very fast and simple but created a good thanksgiving gift and something to show.

Lab 7 Filters

Image
In Lab 7 "Filters" we had to take 5 pictures we took outside plus a picture of ourselves. This lab wasn't necessarily hard because all we had to do was add 6 pictures in total and add different effects to each on. First we had to add all the pictures and align them with one another. Next the picture we took of ourselves we had to liquify it by going into choose filter and choosing liquify. After this we played around with it until our picture was liquified to a good amount. After this for the next picture i used water color which outlined the outside of my picture with white and turned the whole picture as if someone painted it using water colors which was the filter. Next I used Ink outlines for the next picture and this filter created an outline of ink and  looked like someone faded the picture using ink and outlined everything in the picture. After this i used Stained Glass onto the next picture which made it look like stained glass. The next picture i used Rough Pas...

Lab 6 shapes

Image
In lab 6 " Lab 6 Vector Shapes drawing " we were able to apply shapes into our drawings we did before. Before in lab 5 we had to use brushes in order to color in the pictures were drew, but in Lab 6 we had to use shapes and try and outline our pictures. The only tool were had to use was custom shape tool which allowed us to utilize different shapes to make out what we had on our drawings. Using only shapes was very difficult because we had to find shapes that weren't part of our drawings and try to outline it with different custom shapes. To get the night background behind spiderman i decided to select him using the quick selection tool and copied the picture and took him out. Then it was easier to outline the whole background with the dark night blue. After I finished the background I clicked the eye on the layer and put spiderman back into his position. I used a lot of squares and triangles trying to get every corner filled while making it look good. Using the cust...
